Review the below information prior to building an inspection to understand what OnPlan features support Structural Inspections.

Structural Inspection value Recorded
Inspection values can have a set of conditions applied to drive the follow-on actions required.

These condition lists are fully configurable to
  • How many levels (question) are set up
  • What colour the buttons are in the app
  • What criteria needs to be met.

These parameters can be used to determine the severity of the crack, leak, wear, temperature or other defects e.g. normal, monitor, abnormal, critical.

The set up of these parameters are completed by the end user via the Admin>Limits menu.

It is not mandatory to set a predefined condition list for each inspection point.

Images
An image (2D or 3D) of a structure can be used many times. The image can be marked up to show each specific location for inspection as per the example on the right.

Each image can be viewed in the reporting model to display recorded cracks for the whole structure or for the specific location.

Position Codes
Each location to the right will have a field to define the position code ID and a description for the ID. This assist with Technician with were to inspect the structure as well as analysing the inspection defects across a structure.
Structural Inspections Capture and History
The inspection defects history is displayed in the mobile app, the end user for example can add a new leak or select from the leak history. When selecting from the history the end user defines if the leak is static, increased or repaired. Status for a leak include
  • NEW for when a inspection is entered for the first time
  • STATIC if the inspection value doesn't change
  • INCREASED if the inspection value is larger than previous
  • REPAIRED assigned once repair is complete

NOTE: Depending on the Structural Inspection limit configured, determines what Structural Inspection the end user can create (Crack, Leak, Wear, Temperature, Other Defect).

Structural Inspections Reporting
Although the inspector records inspection defects in a defined location, the use of the single marked up image can display all the Inspection Defects for the structure or can be filtered to a specific location as defined above.

Each inspection defects identified, has a unique parent ID and full history is recorded across the life cycle of the Inspection Defect. The full history is displayed as part of the Structural Inspection Analytics page via a table of data which can be analysed, exported or exposed via an API to another data source.
